Before working with EAGLE, brand identity was not at the top of the priority list for Ullesthorpe to say the least, with the quality of the course being allowed to do most of the talking up to now. However, as we all know, times are changing and it is more important than ever to create a lasting impression on a prospective customer long before they have played the course. Ullesthorpe has lofty aims for the future and felt that their current logo and colour system did not reflect their forward-thinking approach. Working from almost a blank canvas, EAGLE’s designers were faced with an exciting challenge. Ullesthorpe briefed us that they would like the new identity rolled out across new scorecards and tee signage.
With an unrestricted brief, the EAGLE design team were able to produce some of their most creative work to date – with the icon certainly being one of the most abstract we have done so far. It is great to see Golf Clubs that are willing to break down the barriers of the traditional strict Golf Club mindset and present themselves as a futuristic establishment, which Ullesthorpe Court certainly is. In addition to this, we created a brand new scorecard layout which had not been changed for over 10 years – a sign of innovation all-round.
Management at Ullesthorpe Court were another classic example who could not believe the added benefit that having an upgraded brand strategy has given them. The outcome is an ultra-modern look that promises to catapult the Club to new heights. Members and visitors can hardly recognise the new look – in a positive way – they are now excited for what the future holds and the Club are hoping for more impact with their marketing communications for the coming decade.
